IBCC Appeal for Postwar Bomber Command Memories
The IBCC is a world-class facility serving as a place of recognition, remembrance and reconciliation for all who flew with Bomber Command, those who supported them on the ground and those affected by its campaigns. The IBCC has an extensive digital archive of personal collections and recordings of peoples’ personal experiences and memories of WW II.
The Collections Team are now keen to record Post-War Bomber Command memories and experiences for a new Post-War Digital Archive. We are seeking photographs, letters, diaries, logbooks and other memorabilia to digitally preserve and share freely on our website. The archive not only ensures the preservation of irreplaceable material for perpetuity, but importantly recognises and remembers those involved in this period of history. If you, or anyone you know, served in Bomber Command during the period 1945 - 1968 please get in touch. For more information contact Michelle Andrews (Collections Archivist) 01522 452532 or email: collections@internationalbcc.co.uk
