From Peter Reinhardt

Hello everyone,

My name is Peter Reinhardt, my family and I live in Berlin. In my free time, I research aviation history in Berlin and Brandenburg on behalf of the Aviation Museum in Finowfurt. With a very good friend, I'm also involved in historical research in the Rostock area. One of our current focuses is the attack on Warnemünde on May 8/9, 1942. In the course of our research, we have compiled extensive information on the whereabouts of the bombers of the 44th (Rhodesia) Squadron. For a comprehensive presentation of our research findings, we need as many pictures of the crew members and the aircraft as possible. This particularly applies to the Lancaster R.5555 and R.5568. Currently, a particular focus is the search for the Lancaster JA700, which crashed on December 2, 1943, east of Berlin. My question is: is it possible for your association to support us in our volunteer work?

Attached is a photo of the funeral of the British pilots shot down on May 8 and 9, 1942.
